We’ll have cool temps this weekend. It was a very different story just one year ago, when we had summery heat in early June.
Twin Cities high temps were in the 90s from June 3 through June 11 of 2021:

Air conditioners were working overtime last June.
Weekend temps and winds
Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 76 degrees on June 4. We’ll have metro area highs in the mid 60s Saturday. Most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will have highs in the 60s Saturday afternoon:

Saturday afternoon wind gusts will be between 16 and 20 mph in most areas:

Forecast wind gusts are in knots, with 16 knots equal to 18.4 mph.
Sunday highs will be mainly in the 60s, with some spots in the metro area, southeastern Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin touching 70 degrees:

Sunday winds will be fairly light in most areas.
Rain chances highest south on Saturday
The southern third of Minnesota and parts of west-central and southern Wisconsin will see periods of rain on Saturday. The rain will linger into Saturday evening in the far south.
An isolated thunderstorm is also possible Saturday in far southern Minnesota and southern Wisconsin. Northern and central Minnesota will have a chance of scattered showers on Saturday.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern from 1 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. on Saturday:

Sunday looks mostly dry.
