After a chilly start, we’ll have lots of sunshine again Friday. Winds will also be lighter from the northwest.
More sun on Friday with lighter winds
Temperatures are downright chilly early Friday in northern Minnesota in the 30s and 40s. We’ll see lots of sunshine Friday but statewide high temperatures will be cooler; generally in the 60s.

Winds will also be lighter Friday from the northwest at generally 5 to 15 mph for most.
Rain showers for the first half of the weekend
The next system will bring some rain showers to southern Minnesota late Friday night and Saturday.

The clouds and showers will keep temperatures down Saturday as well. We’ll see mainly drier conditions with some peeks of sunshine Sunday but a stray shower or two is still possible. The cooler than normal trend will persist into next week before warming up perhaps by next weekend toward normal levels.
