While still running below normal, temperatures continue to be pleasant. Partly cloudy skies will dominate Monday with lingering showers moving out of the southeastern and northeastern corners of Minnesota Monday morning.
Continued cooler than normal
The same upper-level low (cool air aloft) that touched off severe storms a week ago continues to spin just north of most of Minnesota.

Since Memorial Day it continues to fling an occasional cool front at us. The latest front has stalled out across southern Minnesota and will be the focus for isolated shower chances Monday and Tuesday.

A little bit better chance of precipitation comes in Tuesday night into Wednesday but still the chance will be scattered and mainly across southern Minnesota.

The result of the persistent pattern will be continued cooler-than-normal temperatures across Minnesota this week. High temperatures will continue to be pleasant, mainly in the 60s and 70s.

All the models agree on shifting the pattern toward a warmer one next week but just by how much is the question. A majority of models bring some 90 degree temperatures in, while other keep it in the 80s for central and southern Minnesota.
