It will be a much more comfortable overnight across Minnesota as drier air allows temperatures to fall into the 60s and 50s. Wednesday will be pleasant before the heat builds back in Thursday. A few thunderstorms become possible Friday and Saturday.
A comfortable Tuesday night
Dew points have been dropping through the day Tuesday across Minnesota, bringing some needed relief.

While still very warm, temperatures are also 10 to 20 degrees cooler than 24 hours ago. All of this will set us up for a more comfortable night Tuesday night across the region.

Wednesday will still be above normal, but cooler, with highs in the 70s north and 80s south with lots of sunshine.

More heat, a few storms, Thursday and Friday
The 90s return Thursday and perhaps Friday in southern Minnesota. It doesn’t look as brutal as this last heat wave, however.

The chance for some thunderstorms will increase Thursday night in northern Minnesota and spread east Friday and Saturday. At this point it appears precipitation will be widely scattered.
