Cool and breezy Sunday, then temps rebound this week

Shower chances north-central and northeastern Minnesota Sunday

This is a day to turn off the air conditioning and let fresh air into the house.

We have a low pressure system to our northeast and a high pressure system off to our west. That combo of weather systems is giving us gusty northwesterly winds which are delivering cool and dry air from Canada.

Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 82 degrees this time of year. We’re forecasting Sunday highs in the 70s in the Twin Cities and much of Minnesota. North-central and northeastern Minnesota plus northwestern Wisconsin will see mainly 60s.

Dew points will be in the very comfortable 40s in most areas.

At this point, it looks like the Twin Cities metro area could see some scattered showers and thunderstorms Tuesday and also late Wednesday night and Thursday.
