Hot and muggy Thursday, cooler Friday
Showers and clouds are moving out quickly through midmorning Thursday, giving way to another hot afternoon for southern Minnesota. Highs will be near 90 in the south and in the 70s north.

A cool front is sweeping across the state. It will be the focus for thunderstorm development late Thursday afternoon in to the evening.
A thunderstorm or two is possible over the Twin Cities with the initial development but the front will quickly push storms south into southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
