Statewide, expect afternoon high temperatures generally from the 70s in the north to the upper 80s and maybe 90 southwest, but much cooler near Lake Superior. The Twin Cities will have a high near 87 with the afternoon dew point approaching a very-muggy 70.

Fireworks outlook fairly promising

Most of the storms should clear out of Minnesota Monday afternoon. The main chance of lingering scattered showers or a few thunderstorms during the later evening hours will probably be north of the Twin Cities area, up toward Duluth and the Arrowhead.

Unsettled week

Much of the upcoming week will bring typical July weather: typical heat and humidity, along with widely scattered showers and thunderstorms most days.
