Wednesday will be more settled with abundant sunshine and comfortable dew points. Northeast Minnesota could see one or two stray showers. Thunderstorms are possible early Friday before things heat up this weekend.

Sunshine Wednesday, comfortable

We had our biggest rainfall Tuesday evening since May 30 in the Twin Cities. Many people saw the ominous shelf cloud roll through the Twin Cities area as well. A shelf cloud develops on the leading edge of the gust front of rain-cooled air.

Wednesday will be very pleasant with more stable conditions leading to sunshine and comfortable conditions. The sun should persist into Thursday too.

Hopeful rain chance then heating up

We have a hopeful chance of some showers and thunderstorms late Thursday night into Friday and perhaps a few stray thunderstorms Saturday. The models have gone back and forth on how much and where.
