Weekend weather: Summery warmth and a bit humid

Some spots could see a Saturday shower or thunderstorm

If you like warm summer temps, you’ll probably enjoy the weekend forecast.

Twin Cities metro area highs are expected to reach the upper 80s on Saturday. Our average Twin Cities high temp is 84 degrees this time of year. Most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will have Saturday afternoon highs in the 80s:

There’ll be some 70s up along the North Shore of Lake Superior.

Saturday dew points in central and southern Minnesota will be a bit sticky, reaching the upper 60s to around 70:

Sunday high temperatures could top 90 degrees in western Minnesota and parts of southern Minnesota, with mainly 80s elsewhere:

Some spots in the Twin Cities metro area will probably touch 90 degrees Sunday afternoon.

Sunday afternoon dew points will be in the sticky upper 60s in many areas, including the Twin Cities:

Rain chances?

One forecast model shows a few scattered showers and thunderstorms in Minnesota and western Wisconsin Saturday and Saturday night. If showers or thunderstorms do develop, they shouldn’t last very long at any one spot. Sunday is looking rain-free at this point.
