Friday’s mugginess hung around overnight. Early this Saturday morning it has been condensing into fog, especially over southeastern Minnesota east of Interstate 35 and much of Wisconsin. A dense fog advisory is in effect for these areas until 9 a.m.
Heat and humidity will stay with us this weekend and next week.
Warm and muggy Saturday, with scattered storms
Saturday will be warm and muggy. High temperatures will be in the 80s statewide. The Twin Cities should top out around 89 with dew points in the mid to upper 60s.

Scattered overnight showers in the Dakotas will spread into and across Minnesota during the day Saturday. Coverage will increase with the heating of the day. The Twin Cities area will probably see scatterings of showers and some thunderstorms beginning late Saturday afternoon or early evening.
Hot, sunny Sunday
Bright sunshine will heat us on Sunday. Look for widespread high temperatures from the mid 80s to low 90s, but cooler near Lake Superior. The Twin Cities should get very close to 90.
Hot Monday
Monday looks like a scorcher. Dry skies and July sun will do their job. High temperatures are likely to range mainly from the upper 80s to mid 90s, but western Minnesota could easily flirt with 100 degrees. The Twin Cities high should be close to 95.
Hot again Tuesday
Tuesday will be another hot one, with a chance of strong thunderstorms.
Temperatures will cool back to near normal on Wednesday before heating up again for the rest of the week.
