The cooler temperatures and lower dew points will dominate through Friday. The next chance of showers and thunderstorms spreads across northern and central Minnesota Tuesday though amounts will be light in drought-stricken areas.
Beautiful Monday with showers possible Tuesday
It’ll be a gorgeous Monday with temperatures just below normal for most. High temperatures will be in the low 80s south and 70s north with increasing clouds late in the day west to east.

Weekend rainfall left most of the Twin Cities needing much more moisture. There were two main narrow swaths of significant rainfall in the north and southeast metro.

Tuesday will bring another chance at some showers and thunderstorms, but most of the activity will be confined to the northern half of Minnesota with a few showers or thunderstorms by Tuesday evening in the Twin Cities.

Comfortable week; heating back up ahead
While it will be comfortable most of the week, things are heating back up. The 6 to 10-day and 8 to 14-day outlooks from the Climate Prediction Center show increasing odds of above normal temperatures again.

High temperatures will be near 90 again by the weekend for much of southern and western Minnesota.
