Hot and more humid air returns Friday. Scattered storms will develop in northern Minnesota Friday afternoon. The chance of rain and thunder increases south as well into Saturday and Sunday.
Hot, humid air returns Friday
Hopefully, you enjoyed the past 36 hours of lower dew points. The muggy air returns Friday.

High temperatures will top out in the low to mid-90s in the south and west as well.
Northern Minnesota will see some scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunder.

Rain chance increases and spread south
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop on and off Friday night into Saturday and Sunday bringing hopeful precipitation.

We desperately need the rainfall for much of south central and east central Minnesota. The latest drought monitor showed drought expanding. After this weekend there’s little chance of any rain.
