Cooler Thursday, less humid; showers Friday
Comfortable Thursday but humid air and rain develops Friday
Thursday will be more comfortable with slightly cooler temperatures and more comfortable air. Humid air moves north again touching off scattered showers and thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday.
More comfortable Thursday
Thursday will be more comfortable with sunshine through occasional high clouds. High temperatures will be in the low 80s south and 70s north. Dew points will be in the 50s.
That humid air returns north again Thursday night into Friday and Saturday.
Muggy air and showers develop
Muggy air moving north with an advancing warm front will be the focus for a few showers and thunderstorms in southwest Minnesota Thursday and spread across much of the state Thursday night into Friday.
Saturday will be steamy with muggy air and highs in the upper 80s along with a return to sunshine.
Another European heat wave
Europe is being clobbered with another heat wave. Though not as hot as the July wave, temperatures will be at 90 degrees or warmer in London and Paris for four consecutive days Thursday into Sunday. 100-degree temperatures will be prevalent in southern France and Spain.
The normal high for London is 73. This heat comes after the United Kingdom saw its driest July in 38 years as well. Much of western Europe is in drought with numerous fires.
