A bit brighter Tuesday; showers north and west
A little more sun Tuesday with more rain chances this week
For the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota, we’ll see a little more sunshine Tuesday with scattered showers and thunder in northern and northwest Minnesota. Temperatures will be slightly warmer Wednesday.
Brighter south; showers north
We should see a bit more sunshine Tuesday in southern Minnesota at least, but the overall picture will be a mix of clouds and sun. A disturbance will create scattered instability showers and thunder in northern and northwest Minnesota.
High temperatures will a little warmer in the southern part of the state as well Tuesday.
Better rain chances late Thursday into Friday
Wednesday and Thursday will be slightly warmer with highs in the low 80s south, 70s north. Northern and northwest Minnesota will continue to see a better chance of a few showers and thunderstorms Wednesday. A few isolated showers are possible into the Twin Cities area Wednesday. Late Thursday into Friday the chance of rain becomes more likely and more widespread across Minnesota.
The chance of showers, clouds and cooler temperatures could linger into at least part of the upcoming weekend thanks to a cut-off, upper-level low. That feature is more typical of fall or spring rather than late summer.
