Lots of clouds, scattered showers Friday; drier through the weekend
Clouds and showers will spin around an area of low pressure
Clouds and showers will continue to rotate around an area of low pressure moving across Minnesota Friday. Temperatures will be cooler with the cloud cover, primarily in the low to mid-70s for afternoon highs. The weekend should be gradually drier and brighter.
Showers spin around slow-moving low
Clouds and scattered showers will be the normal across Minnesota Friday, all of it spinning around a large, slow-moving area of low pressure.
The cloud cover and showers will keep temperatures a bit cooler than normal too, in the low to mid-70s for highs across the region.
Gradually drier, brighter this weekend
As the low dives out of Minnesota into Iowa and then into northern Illinois, we’ll gradually see less and less cloud cover and drier weather as well.
Saturday will likely yield a few spotty showers yet, but Sunday should be mainly dry with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will reflect the increased sunshine too. Most of Minnesota will still be in the 70s Saturday but low 80s will return to southern and western Minnesota Sunday.
Next week looks beautiful for the first half at least, with sunshine and highs in the low 80s.
