This will be a very nice Labor Day weekend. Many of us will be turning off the air conditioning and opening up the windows.
Computer models are showing plenty of sunshine in Minnesota and western Wisconsin today and Sunday, then a mix of clouds and sunshine on Labor Day.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale forecast model isn’t depicting any rain in our area from noon today to 6 p.m. on Labor Day:

That steamy air of Friday was pushed out by the cold front that moved through here Friday night. Dew points will be very comfortable today and Sunday, ranging from 40s in northern Minnesota to lower 50s in the south.
Saturday highs will be in the 70s across most of Minnesota and much of western Wisconsin. Portions of north-central and northeastern Minnesota and far northwestern Wisconsin will have Saturday highs in the 60s. Much of the metro area will see Saturday highs in the mid 70s, which isn’t far from our average Sept. 3 high of 77 degrees.
Low temps early Sunday will be in the 40s in many areas, with lower 50s in the Twin Cities:

Sunday highs will be mainly in the 70s, with 60s in parts of northeastern Minnesota:

Labor Day highs will be mainly in the 70s, with lower 80s possible in parts of far western Minnesota:

A few spots in the Twin Cities metro area could touch 80 on Labor Day. Dew points creep into the upper 50s Monday afternoon.
We could see above-normal temps next weekend into the following week. The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a tendency for above-normal temps in Minnesota and Wisconsin from September 10 through September 16:

Weather nugget
Last Labor Day weekend, the Twin Cities had Saturday and Sunday highs of 78 degrees, then 81 degrees on Labor Day. No rain was tallied at MSP airport over the three-day Labor Day weekend in 2021.
