Summer heat through Thursday

It will be a mild overnight Tuesday night with lows in the 60s in the Twin Cities and most of southern Minnesota. Much of northern Minnesota will see 50s with some 40s. Wednesday will be a few degrees warmer with highs in the mid to upper 80s south with some places near 90 in southwest Minnesota. Northeast Minnesota will be cooler, in the 70s.

Thursday is the likely peak of the heat with more widespread 90 degree temperatures across southern Minnesota.

Rain Friday followed by cool air

A slow moving cool front Thursday night into Saturday night looks to slowly soak parts of Minnesota. Many areas will see more than 0.50” of rainfall but the front will take more than 36 hours to move across Minnesota making for a couple cloudy, dreary days.
