More smoke Wednesday
Smoke from western wildfires is prevalent again in the skies across Minnesota. A few spots are seeing reduced air quality. Sensors in yellow are moderate air quality. People with sensitive conditions such as asthma should take some precautions.

The smoke plume was visible toward sunset Tuesday evening — with the sun’s angle lower, light scattered through the smoke from west to east.

Friday showers will break the warm, muggy air
Summer-like temperatures and muggy air continue Wednesday with highs in the mid-80s, close to 90 for some southwest Minnesota spots. Thursday will be even warmer with upper 80s and a few more 90s.

A cool front slowly moves across Minnesota Thursday night into the weekend and it will produce an area of rain showers in its wake.

Behind the front highs will be only in the 60s and low 70s this weekend. Expect more sunshine by Sunday.
