Warm again Tuesday then showers developing
Enjoy another day well into the 70s for afternoon highs across southern Minnesota after an incredibly mild start with temperatures mainly in the 50s to near 60.
Skies will be partly cloudy but showers will develop late in the day to the west and that chance of some scattered showers spreads east Wednesday ahead of a very potent cold front.
Big drop in temperatures Thursday
Behind the cold front, temperatures will drop about 20 degrees. Highs will be in the low 50s south, and 40s north with blustery north winds at 10 to 25 mph.
Friday will bring even colder high temperatures, mainly in the 40s statewide, setting us up for a couple of frigid and frosty nights.
