Temperatures well above normal are forecast for Monday and Tuesday with highs near 80 for some Tuesday. A cool front touches off thunderstorms late Tuesday with much cooler air moving in mid to late week.

Very warm Monday and Tuesday

High temperatures will soar into the 60s and low 70s Monday with lots of sun and light winds. Tuesday will be even warmer with many places getting close to 80 across southern Minnesota, nearly 20 degrees warmer than normal high temperatures.

Cold front touches off thunder, drops temps

A cold front will touch off some showers and even thunderstorms late Tuesday.
