We’ll have another mostly sunny and very mild day Monday. Highs will be well into the 60s for much of Minnesota. The warmth continues and peaks midweek before potential rain at the end o the week.
Continued well above normal and bright
As long as we surpass 62 degrees in the Twin Cities, it will be the warmest Halloween in 22 years. We hit 62 in both 2007 and 2008, and those were the last instances of highs in the 60s on the holiday. Halloween of 2000 saw a high of 71. We should see highs in the middle 60s for the Twin Cities and much of Minnesota will see temperatures reach 60 or warmer.
Overnight temps will dip back into the 30s and 40s, relatively mild for the last night of October.
High temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday will reach their peak with highs near 70 Tuesday and probably into the 70s Wednesday across southern Minnesota.
Cooler air arrives by the end of the week but not before several more unusually warm days.
Potential for late week rainfall?
The possibility of an end-of-week storm system, especially Friday night into Saturday is still potentially brewing for the central U.S.
Models differ on timing and amounts still at this early stage but it is something significant to monitor this week.
