Scattered snow showers persist Friday; becoming colder this weekend

We’ll have scattered snow showers statewide still Friday but generally they’ll be lighter. Temperatures will still be mild ranging from the low 30s to the upper 20s. Colder air moves in for the weekend and next week.

Snow showers will continue to rotate through Minnesota around our storm system slowly moving east.

Additional snowfall over the next 24 hours will generally be fairly light at around an inch but there will be a couple of slightly higher pockets along the North Shore and in northwest Minnesota.

Much colder next week

Temperatures drop through the weekend from the 20s into the teens. We’ll see single digit highs by Tuesday with subzero overnights starting in western Minnesota early Sunday and statewide by early Tuesday.
