Mild Monday with a little light snow mainly north

Clouds might break for part of Monday, but overall this will be a rather cloudy week.

No big storms this week

Weak impulses from the northwest will bring chances of light snow at times, mainly to northern Minnesota. But no big storms are on tap.

Monday will bring mild temperatures statewide. Highs should be in the upper 20s to low 30s with the Twin Cities reaching about 32. Light snow is possible in the north. Afternoon flurries might get as far south as the Twin Cities.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be a few degrees cooler. Then we should moderate again for Thursday and Friday.

Next weekend calls for heavy gloves and mittens

Much colder air will sweep in from the northwest next weekend and into next week. High temperatures will be in the single digits above and below zero. The Twin Cities might stay in the low teens for a high on Saturday before turning even colder on Sunday.
