Snow showers will continue on and off Wednesday. Wednesday night will be colder with subzero temperatures north. More snow showers develop late Thursday into Thursday night.
Snow showers Wednesday with first of two clippers
Snow showers will continue through Wednesday and taper from north to south by late Wednesday evening in southeast Minnesota.
Most areas will see at least a coating to as much as a few inches of fresh snow along the North Shore.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for the slightly higher snow totals along the North Shore.
It will be colder Wednesday night into early Thursday behind the clipper with much of northern and portions of western Minnesota below zero.
Another round of snow showers late Thursday into early Friday
Our second clipper will bring snow showers to northwest Minnesota late Thursday afternoon already into early Friday.
Anticipate another coating to two inches of fresh snow. Behind that clipper will bring the brutal, frigid air in for the weekend that will linger into next week. High temperatures will be in the single digits south and subzero north. Wind chill values Sunday morning will bottom out in the 20 to 40 below zero range.
