Cooler Friday, warmup, more sun this weekend
Friday will be cooler, but mostly in the 20s. Normal highs range from about 19 degrees for International Falls on the Canadian border to 27 in the Twin Cities and we’ll see readings near or above that for most.
We’ll also have sunshine Friday and overall into the next several days with just occasional cloud cover.
Look for mild readings to return Saturday with highs in the 30s and low 40s for most.

The breeze will pick up from the southeast at 10-15 mph as the warmer air returns.
Temperatures will be about 10 to even 20-plus degrees above normal in northern Minnesota Saturday.
We remain mild through the middle of next week with mainly 30s and 40s for highs.
More active next week, then colder?
We’re watching a storm system that will develop late Tuesday into Wednesday and Thursday. It may be a prolonged event of rain and snow for Minnesota. A swath of very heavy snow could fall north and west of an area that will see mixed precipitation.
Behind that system, colder air will slide in but it doesn’t look to be real brutal, arctic cold air.
A couple of models have us just in the teens for highs by Thursday and Friday next week. Those readings would be below normal.
