Cooler Friday with sunshine returning; thaw resumes this weekend

It’s a cold morning Friday but we’ll warm to near normal temperatures, in the 20s statewide. We’ll see the return of sunshine and lighter winds too. Mild temps are back this weekend.

A cooler but more ‘normal’ Friday

It’s a chilly morning compared to the rest of the mornings this week with widespread single digits and even subzero readings north. We’ll see high temperatures in the 20s mostly, but that’s closer to normal. We’ll also see sunshine again Friday and that will persist into Saturday.

Winds will also be lighter, mostly under 10 mph from the west Friday.

Milder air returns this weekend; potentially more active late next week?

The thaw resumes Saturday with highs back well into the 30s for most, some places could even be near 40 again.
