Mild Monday; widespread rain Tuesday

Monday will be a mostly sunny day with very mild temperatures. Afternoon highs will range from the upper 30s to mid-40s. The Twin Cities should reach about 46 degrees.

Rainy Tuesday

Widespread rain will arrive from the southwest on Tuesday and continue for most of Minnesota Tuesday night.

Rain to snow

Rain will change to snow in western Minnesota Tuesday evening. A winter storm watch has been posted for west-central Minnesota for Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Snowfall amounts will depend on when the rain changes over to snow. A few inches of snow along with blowing snow are likely for much of the watch area. In the Twin Cities area, the storm will probably end with just a little snow on Wednesday.
