'Historic moment': EPA to limit toxic 'forever chemical' PFAS in drinking water

Firefighting foam used at the Denver Fire Academy up until 2018 is suspected to be linked to the discovery of PFAS, or “forever chemicals” found in city’s groundwater. A new EPA proposal would set strict limits of four parts per trillion, the lowest level that can be reliably measured, for two common types of PFAS compounds called PFOA and PFOS.
