Look for some sun Monday with temperatures back in the 30s and 20s across the state, still somewhat below normal. We have two systems bringing moisture to Minnesota this week. The first arrives late Tuesday with rain and snow showers.
Warmer but still below normal
While Monday’s temperatures will be similar to Sunday’s and certainly warmer than Friday and Saturday, they remain below normal. Normal highs this week range from about 36 degrees around Grand Marais and International Falls to as high as 45 in the Twin Cities and southwest Minnesota.

We’ll see highs in the 30s from the Twin Cities south and east but northern Minnesota will remain in the 20s with even upper teens in the far northwest corner of Minnesota only.

We should have a fair amount of sunshine much of the day for most places also.

Two systems bring rain and snow to Minnesota this week
Winds increase as the next weather system moves into Minnesota. We’ll look for rain and snow showers to develop late Tuesday into Tuesday night.

A winter storm watch is posted for late Tuesday into early Wednesday for portions of northwest and northern Minnesota.

Northern Minnesota looks to receive a wide area of snowfall while amounts will be limited in southern Minnesota, with the warmer temperatures to mainly rain turning over to some brief snow Tuesday night.

Another system moves in late Wednesday lined up behind the first one, this time taking a bit more southerly track which will bring rain and snow to southern Minnesota with a slightly better chance of accumulating slush Wednesday night into early Thursday.

Temperatures overall this week will remain slightly below normal in the low 40s and 30s mostly.
