Updraft® - Minnesota Weather News

Mild Easter temps; Chance of a few scattered showers

Breezy

Many locations in Minnesota will have more clouds than sun this Easter Sunday, but temperatures will be mild.

The average Twin Cities high temperature on April 9 is 54 degrees. Metro area highs are forecast to reach the lower 60s this Sunday.

Highs will also be in the 60s across south-central and southeastern Minnesota and west-central/southwestern Wisconsin:

Parts of far northwestern Minnesota and west-central Minnesota will have Easter Sunday highs in the 40s, with a lot of 50s elsewhere.

It’ll be breezy today, and some spots could see wind gusts over 20 mph at times.

Rain chance

Some very scattered light rain showers are possible this Sunday morning from southwestern Minnesota into parts of central Minnesota. Scattered shower chances expand eastward this afternoon to include the Twin Cities metro area, south-central Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s High Resolution Rapid-Refresh (HRRR) forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern from noon to 9 p.m. this Sunday:

The rain would tend to be fairly light at the locations that do see some showers.
