More summer-like warmth; some showers northwest Thursday

We’ve got more summer-like temperatures for southern Minnesota through Friday. Meanwhile, northwest Minnesota will see cooler temperatures set in and some showers start to develop. The chance expands statewide by Friday night.

Continued very warm for many, showers north and northwest

It’ll be another very warm, July-like day in southern Minnesota with more sunshine and temperatures in the 80s. Northwest Minnesota will be considerably cooler with more clouds.

Northwest Minnesota will also start to see some scattered showers as large, slow moving storm system and frontal boundary starts to develop.

Friday will squeeze out another warm one for southern and northeastern Minnesota again before the showers and colder air become more widespread into the weekend.

Showers and colder weather for the weekend

The storm system expands east bringing scattered rain showers Friday night into most of Minnesota and through Saturday. We’ll have to watch how much cold air works in to the system combined with remaining moisture Saturday night. Some snow is possible late Saturday night into early Sunday.
