Unsettled into the weekend with occasional showers, thunder possible

An unsettled stretch develops with some spotty showers across southern Minnesota Friday, expanding north Friday night into Saturday. Temperatures will still be mild in the 60s and even 70s but cooler along the North Shore.

Not a washout but spotty showers, thunder this weekend

The northern extent of moisture is pushing into southern Minnesota Friday touching off some isolated and spotty showers and even a thunderstorm. That area will fill in a bit and move north slowly through the day.

At the same time an upper level disturbance is coming in from the southwest which will help expand an area of scattered showers and some thunder Friday night into Saturday morning. Look for occasional chances of a few showers or thunderstorms into Monday but there will be completely wet days.

Everyone will get a turn getting wet at some point so that many areas could see a total of up to one inch of rain through Monday.

Temperatures will still be seasonable or even above normal with many areas warming into the 60s and even 70s Friday into the weekend, especially in areas that remain drier and with more peeks of sun.
