Cooler Wednesday and Thursday
Wednesday and Thursday will be a refreshing break from the unusually early, prolonged heat for most of Minnesota. Highs will range from the 60s along the North Shore to 70s for most other places to around 80 in the Twin Cities and mid-80s west.
It will also be a cooler, more comfortable night for a change with 40s north and 50s south Wednesday night.
Western Minnesota will remain a little muggy as this cold front won’t quite clear the whole state but wash out in the west. Dew points east will be in the 40s but 60s west.
That lingering moisture to the west means some showers and thunder will still be possible in western Minnesota as well both Wednesday and Thursday.
The next chance of some showers statewide will come Friday and Saturday as another cool front, this time from the northwest, pushes the higher dew points back across the state, increasing the chance of spotty thunder.
