It’s a cool start early Thursday and temperatures will remain a little below normal with highs in the 70s statewide with sunshine. Scattered showers are possible mainly north and west Friday.

Cooler than normal temperatures continue

Thursday will be another pleasant day with partly cloudy skies developing by afternoon and highs mostly in the 70s statewide. Those readings are about 5 to 7 degrees cooler than normal for the date.

Look for another comfortable night with lows mainly in the 50s, though the urban core of the Twin Cities may only drop to 60 while parts of northeast Minnesota will again see 40s.

The next disturbance will develop scattered showers and isolated thunder for the northern half of Minnesota and western portions of the state Friday.
