Scattered showers north Friday; spotty weekend chances

The first of a few disturbances will bring some showers to northern Minnesota Friday. Temps will still be mainly in the 70s, but normal or above normal readings return this weekend.

Some spotty showers chances with a warming trend

Friday will be cooler than normal once again with highs mainly in the 70s. A few spots could hit 80 but there’ll be a better chance of that by the weekend.

The first of a few upper level disturbances moves into northern Minnesota Friday, touching off some scattered showers and a few thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon hours. Some of that lingering activity could make it into central Minnesota by the overnight.

A few upper level disturbances will rotate in from the northwest around an upper level low centered over Hudson Bay into early next week. The next chance of rain will again be in northern Minnesota Sunday.

Temperatures will also be on the upward trend. 80s become more widespread by Sunday with highs potentially close to 90 in southern Minnesota Monday.
