Cooler Tuesday with morning sunshine; minor rain chances ahead

Cooler and much drier air has settled in behind a cold front for Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will be mainly in the 70s. We’ll see a few relatively minor rain chances ahead.

After our brief bit of heat Monday in southern Minnesota, conditions will be notably cooler Tuesday. Highs will be mostly in the 70s and slightly cooler than our normal highs which range from the upper 70s north to the mid 80s south.

Also noteworthy is the big drop in dew points from the low 60s yesterday to the low 40s at times Tuesday, which equates to about half the water content in the air.

A few minor rain chances ahead

The first of a few minor disturbances will touch off some showers late in the day in southwest Minnesota and track east across southern Minnesota into Wednesday morning. Northern Minnesota could also see a stray shower or two during the day Wednesday.
