We’ll have a few spotty afternoon showers and isolated thunder Friday afternoon and late Saturday. Beyond that, it will be hot and dry as a heat wave develops next week.
Some minor shower chances Friday and Saturday
A couple minor, fast moving upper level disturbances will touch off enough instability combined with some day time heating to produce some isolated to spotty showers and some thunder Friday and Saturday afternoons.

Unfortunately most precipitation will be modest and the majority of us will remain dry.
Highs Friday will be slightly warmer than yesterday, mainly in the mid 80s south to upper 70s north.

Saturday will see similar temperatures before things heat up more for Sunday and especially next week.

Heat wave develops
Highs look to reach 90 degrees plus starting Monday for southern and western Minnesota and through most of next week. Some places could even hit 100 midweek.
