Warmer Tuesday with thunder possible north

Parts of western Minnesota will reach 90 Tuesday with upper 80s elsewhere in southern Minnesota. Thunderstorms are possible in the northern half of the state Tuesday.

Temperatures will tick up a few more degrees Tuesday with widespread upper 80s south and even 90 degree readings in western Minnesota. Northeast Minnesota and the North Shore will be cooler.

A few storms could be strong to severe. There’s a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) of severe weather forecasts for Tuesday across much of northern Minnesota with a slight risk (level 2 out of 5) forecast in the northwest part of the state.
