Southern and southwest Minnesota saw the bulk of the weekend rainfall. We’ll have a couple more chances of rain this week with near-normal temperatures. Friday and Saturday will be cooler.

Weekend rainfall

If your rain gauge wasn’t very full, you were not alone. The rains over the weekend were highly variable in the Twin Cities metro with some lucky spots getting nearly an inch, but most received a fraction of that. The real “winner” was south central and southwest Minnesota into portions of northwest Minnesota.

More chances of rain this week

We could have an isolated shower or thundershower late Monday in southern Minnesota with lingering moisture and instability from the weekend.
