We’ll see sunshine break out with steamy conditions south Friday leading to more thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Some storms could be severe.
More storms develop Friday; sun Saturday; more rain Sunday
Look for a steamy midday Friday allowing for the development of more storms. Highs will be in the mid 80s south with dew points in the muggy 60s while northern Minnesota will be cooler.

Afternoon storms will develop thanks to daytime heating and upper level disturbance into the evening hours.

Storms that do develop could become severe. There’s a slight risk of severe storms (level 2 out of 5) in portions of eastern Minnesota into western Wisconsin.

Saturday will bring sunshine again and a drop in dew points. Another system will develop more showers and thunder Sunday across the state along with cooler temperatures into early next week.
