Our Saturday begins with fairly comfortable temperatures and dew points, but steamy air will arrive Saturday afternoon and linger into Saturday evening.
Southwesterly winds and plenty of sunshine will deliver highs in the 90s to much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin Saturday afternoon:
Most of north-central and northeastern Minnesota will have highs in the 80s, with a few upper 70s possible near Grand Marais.
Dew points will rise into the steamy 70s across much of southern and central Minnesota Saturday afternoon:

That combination of heat and humidity will generate heat index values over 100 degrees in many areas Saturday afternoon into early evening.
Excessive heat warnings and heat advisories in many areas
The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday from south-central Minnesota through the Twin Cities metro area and in several adjacent counties:

Cooler Sunday
Sunday highs will reach the 70s in roughly the northern third of Minnesota, with mainly 80s elsewhere in Minnesota and in western Wisconsin:
A few spots in southeastern Minnesota could touch 90 degrees.
Rain-free weekend
Saturday and most of Sunday will be rain-free in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. A few scattered showers are possible in far northern Minnesota Sunday afternoon.
