Thursday will be steamy again but not as hot as the last two days. Spotty thunder is possible Friday as cooler air moves into the region for the weekend.
Steamy but not as hot Thursday
We have another hot day but much more typically hot for late August, with heat index values remaining under 100 Thursday. The heat dome will be subsiding and retreating south and west once again.

Friday will bring the chance of at least some spotty showers and thunderstorms statewide as a clipper-type system and cool front moves across Minnesota.

Behind the cool front we have a spectacular weekend. Highs will be in the 70s to low 80s statewide Saturday and Sunday. Dew points will be in the much more comfortable 50s.

The next chance of some rain and thunder arrives Monday.
