A disturbance that will bring cooler air behind it for the weekend will also touch off a few thunderstorms Friday.
Spotty thunderstorm chance, still muggy
Friday will still be warm and muggy across southern Minnesota with highs well into the 80s while northern Minnesota will be cooler.

A disturbance moving across the state could touch off a few thunderstorms after some places in northern and southern Minnesota also saw rainfall.

Our Friday disturbance will bring cooler and drier air in behind it for the weekend. Dew points will drop Friday night into early Saturday into the 50s after what’s been a very humid week.

Comfortable weekend
Saturday will see temperatures run a couple of degrees cooler than normal for a change, mostly in the 70s statewide. We’ll have lots of sunshine.

Sunday will be a couple of degrees warmer with highs in the 70s to low 80s.

Temperatures should remain comfortable and near normal into the middle of next week. We also have another chance of a few showers or thunderstorms Sunday night into Monday.
