Expect clouds to slowly decrease Thursday allowing temperatures to be a little warmer. Friday will be much warmer with highs near 80 south and the chance of thunder north and west.
Decreasing clouds with a warming trend
We should see clouds slowly decrease from west to east Thursday, finally allowing a little more sunshine into the southeast parts of Minnesota.

High temperatures will be warmer as a result of more sunshine, especially in western Minnesota which will see highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Friday will be warmer still with highs near 80 in southern Minnesota. As that warmer and more humid air surges north we’ll see the chance of some showers and thunderstorms in western and northern Minnesota late in the day. That chance spreads east overnight Friday night.
