Temperatures are trending upward into the weekend. We also have the chance of some rain and snow showers heading into the weekend and early next week.
Brighter for southern Minnesota Thursday
We should see more sun across southern Minnesota Thursday while a mix of clouds and sun lingers into northern Minnesota.

Highs will be below normal still but a little warmer than the last couple days with 40s becoming more widespread in southern Minnesota.

Milder but with potential precipitation this weekend
Temperatures continue trending upward Friday into the weekend with near normal readings in the 40s south to 30s north. Far southern Minnesota may even see highs in the 50s.
We’ll also see clouds roll back in and a few potential disturbances that will touch off some rain and snow chances this weekend into early next week.

What falls as snow or rain and where will depend on precise track and timing of these disturbances which are largely still in the Pacific.
