A winter weather advisory is posted for portions of the North Shore where several inches of snow is possible. Most of Minnesota will see some scattered rain showers into Wednesday.
Scattered showers expand north and east Tuesday
Scattered showers are expanding north and east Tuesday. Central and eastern Minnesota can expect some late morning and midday sprinkles. The showers will mix with and become snow in northeast Minnesota into the late afternoon and overnight hours.

Wintry weather for northeast Minnesota into Wednesday
A winter weather advisory is posted for mid afternoon Tuesday into Wednesday morning for portions of the North Shore where several inches of snow is possible.

Elsewhere, snowfall accumulations will fall across northeast Minnesota ranging anywhere from a coating to a couple of inches.

Some light freezing rain is possible Tuesday evening as well as rain and snow transition back and forth with temperatures near freezing.

Windy and brighter Thursday and cooler
Winds will be blustery Thursday behind the system as cooler air moves in for a few days but we’ll also see sunshine break out for most of central and southern Minnesota too. Wind gusts will be up to 30 to 40 mph.

Highs Thursday into Saturday will be mostly in the low to mid forties south and in the thirties north.
