This will be the brightest and warmest day of the weekend across much of Minnesota. Parts of far northern Minnesota will have some pesky clouds and a chance of scattered rain showers Sunday afternoon.
Warmer temps
The average Twin Cities high temperature is 44 degrees on Nov. 12. Twin Cities area highs are forecast to reach the mid-50s Sunday afternoon. A few spots in the Twin Cities could see upper 50s. That’s more like October than November!
Sunday high temps will be in the 50s across much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a stray 60 in southwestern Minnesota. Roughly the northern third of Minnesota will have Sunday highs in the 40s.
Similar high temperatures are expected on Monday; 40s to the north and mainly 50s elsewhere:

Tuesday highs range from 40s in far northern Minnesota to 60s in the Twin Cities metro area and southern Minnesota:

Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to be around 60 degrees on Wednesday, followed by lower 60s Thursday and lower 50s on Friday.
Above-normal temperatures may linger into next weekend and the beginning of the following week, according to the latest outlook from the NWS Climate Prediction Center:

Dry start to the week
Most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will begin the week with dry weather. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale forecast model isn’t showing any precipitation in our area from 6 a.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday:

The pressure pattern shows lighter winds on Monday as a high pressure system builds into our area. We’ll then see breezy conditions Tuesday on the back side of the high pressure system as it shifts eastward.
Weather nugget
Today’s highs in the 50s are our average Twin Cities high temps in the second to third week of October.
The average Twin Cities high temperature retreats from 44 degrees on Nov. 12 to 35 degrees on Nov. 30 and then to 30 degrees on Dec. 12.
