Sunday was bright and unusually warm. I saw several people who were walking down the street wearing shorts and tee-shirts.
The Sunday high temperature at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 59 degrees. That’s 15 degrees warmer than the average Nov. 12 Twin Cities high of 44 degrees. In case you’re wondering, the average Twin Cities high temperature is 59 degrees on Oct. 14.
We’ll have unusually warm weather for several more days.
Temperature trends
Monday high temps will be in the 50s across much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Southwestern Minnesota will see some lower 60s, and far northern Minnesota will have highs in the 40s:

Tuesday highs reach the 60s in roughly the southern half of Minnesota, with 50s to the north:
There will be a few 40s in the far north.
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the lower 60s on Tuesday, followed by upper 50s Wednesday, lower 60s Thursday and then lower 50s on Friday.
Above-normal temperatures could linger next weekend and into the start of the following week. Here’s the Nov. 18 through Nov. 22 temperature outlook from the NWS Climate Prediction Center:
No storms in sight
Most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will begin the week with dry weather. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale forecast model isn’t showing any precipitation in our area from 6 a.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday:
The forecast pressure pattern shows light winds on Monday as a high pressure system builds into our area. We’ll then see breezy conditions Tuesday on the back side of the high pressure system as it shifts eastward.
The next chance of rain could hold off until late Thursday.
