The upcoming week should be free of any significant weather drama. Temperatures will remain on the mild side for mid-November at least through next weekend.
The warmest days will come early in the week.
Delightful Monday
Monday will be a lovely day to get outdoors. Afternoon highs should be in the 40s in northern Minnesota, 50s for most central and southern parts, and some low 60s are likely in the southwest.
The Twin Cities should warm to about 56 on a day when the average high is 43. Sunny skies and just a light breeze will make the mild temperatures feel even balmier.

Breezy Tuesday
Tuesday will be warmer than Monday, mostly due to a gusty southerly wind. Highs will be mainly in the 50s across the northern half of the state. Low to mid 60s are likely for the Twin Cities and much of southern Minnesota.
Rain and light snow possible north on Thursday
Temperatures will continue on the warmer-than-normal side for Wednesday and into Thursday. Then Thursday will start to bring a short-term change in the weather as a weak cold front spreads the likelihood of rain and light snow across the north.
Cooler Friday
Temperatures will drop to closer to average on Friday behind that cold front. Highs seem likely to range from the mid 30s around Ely in the northeast to around 50 in the southwest.
Mild next weekend and into the following week
Next weekend should bring more high temperatures in the 40s around most of Minnesota. The southwest might be the warm spot again with low 50s.
The extended outlook from the Climate Prediction Center indicates the likelihood of Minnesota being in the bullseye of warmer-than-normal temperatures in the 6-10 day period Nov. 18-22. That’s from next Saturday through the following Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.
