Wednesday was incredibly enjoyable with sunshine, light winds and temperatures that were warm for November.
Thursday’s temperatures will also be unusually warm but conditions will be windy as a low-pressure system tracks through northern Minnesota and into Canada.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale forecast model shows the surface pressure pattern plus the potential precipitation pattern Thursday afternoon and evening:

Parts of far northern Minnesota could see a few rain showers and snow showers.

We’ll have strong winds across most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin Thursday, with gusts of 40 to 45 mph at times.
An expanded wind advisory for southern Minnesota now includes the entire Twin Cities metro area plus much of western Wisconsin until 7 p.m. Thursday evening:

A wind advisory runs from 6 p.m. Thursday to midnight along the North Shore of Lake Superior:

Gale warnings have been posted Thursday afternoon through Thursday night for Lake Superior.

Quiet weekend
Friday, Saturday and Sunday look mostly dry. There could be some scattered rain showers in southwestern Minnesota late Sunday.
NOAA’s North American Mesoscale forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern from 6 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday:

Temperature trends
The average Twin Cities high temperature is 42 degrees this time of year. After metro area highs in the 60s Thursday, we’ll see Friday highs in the lower 40s.
Most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will have highs in the 40s on Friday:

There will be some 30s in far northern Minnesota.
The southern half of Minnesota will see highs in the 50s on Saturday, with 40s to the north:

Some spots along the Red River Valley in northwestern Minnesota will also reach 50 on Saturday.
Sunday high temps will be in the 50s across most of the southern half of Minnesota and up around Moorhead:

Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the upper 40s on Monday, followed by around 40 degrees on Tuesday, then lower 30s on Wednesday.
Weather nugget
The average Twin Cities temperature (which is the average of all the daily high temperatures and low temperatures) is running 4.9 degrees warmer than normal this November. This is likely to end up as the seventh consecutive warmer-than-normal month in the Twin Cities.
